“Revival Of Japanese Mythology”
Japanese people today no longer know their own mythology
Before World War II, mythology was even taught in school textbooks
Those passages were blacked out by the GHQ
And in time, mythology disappeared completely from education
The British historian Arnold J. Toynbee once warned
“A nation that loses its mythology will perish within one hundred years”
Eighty years have passed since the war, and only twenty remain
Will Japanese mythology rise again before that time comes
The Constitution of Japan states that the Emperor
Is the symbol of the nation and the unity of the Japanese people
Yet the historical foundations of the Imperial line are no longer taught in schools
Should the Japanese people truly remain indifferent to this
Emperor Naruhito, His Majesty the Emperor, is the 126th Emperor of Japan
This year marks Imperial Year 2686 since the reign of Emperor Jimmu
A miraculous continuity unmatched anywhere else in the world
The supreme deity of Japan is Amaterasu
Ancestor of the Imperial family and the sun goddess who governs Takamagahara
A sacred presence that watches over Japan from the spiritual realm
Enshrined beyond the countless shrines where the Japanese people offer their prayers
The Japanese people should return to the faith of their ancestors
Faith is neither old nor new
One must simply learn the proper way of faith
And that journey begins with the revival of Japanese mythology
