“Playful Spirit”
A pencil with a sharp point is easy to break.
A blunted tip is better sometimes –
Like our minds, it needs some allowance.
Although we should aim high,
There are unexpected trials and stresses
Waiting for us during our long journey.
Keep in mind that adversity might come your way,
But having a playful spirit will make it easier to bear.
Imagine what you enjoy the most
With a pure and child-like heart.
It is a kind of shelter, so to speak.
In life, there are mountains to climb
But there are also valleys.
When you go down into one, don’t feel defeated.
Use your imagination, let your spirit play,
And think to yourself: that’s life!
In the worst moments of your life,
Pride or solemnity will only weigh you down,
But a playful spirit will become your refuge.
「遊び心が身を守る」
尖った鉛筆は折れやすい
先は丸い方が良い
心でいえば余裕が必要なのだ
目標は高く持つものだが
長い旅路の途上には想定外の試練や
想定以上のストレスが待っている
そういう試練やストレスを
想定内に納めておくのもの手だが
遊び心が身を守る事も知るべきだ
遊び心とは子どものような純粋な心で
自分の最も好きなことを想像することだ
言わば一種の逃げ場所でもある
山を登ることだけが人生ではない
谷に降りることも人生なのだ
谷に降りたら敗北感に捕われないことだ
これも人生と遊び心を働かす
人生最悪と思えるような時も
遊び心が人生のシェルターとなる
プライドや真面目さは役に立たない
