Where you were born
And how you were raised
Do not determine who you are.
Even in the worst of times,
Your individuality will grow
In Buddhism, this is called
‘A lotus blossom in the mud’
With the right mindset,
A pure heart will flourish
We are naturally endowed with
The nature of Buddha
Awaken to it and cultivate
Mercy in your heart
It is the path to enlightenment.
Free yourself from illusion
Let go of worldly passions
And set aside obsessions
Buddhism guides us towards awareness
Trust in your Buddha nature
And devote yourself to discipline
True strength dwells in the merciful heart
「真の強さ」
生まれた環境や教育によって
人格がつくられるわけではない
どんな劣悪な環境でも人格は育つ
仏教では「泥中の蓮」という
正しい主体性があれば
汚れることなく心は正しく育つ
人の心には本来、仏性が備わる
仏性に目覚め仏心を育む
それが悟りへの道
迷いからの脱却
煩悩からの解脱
執着からの解放
悟りとは仏陀が説いた教え
自らの仏性を信じ修行に励む
真の強さは仏心に宿る
