Hard work doesn’t always yield reward.

Even those of the highest character don’t always succeed.
We expect good things to come
To those who, above all, are welcomed by others.
In reality, that expectation disappoints so easily.
Disappointment turns to sadness, grief, grumbling.
“After all, it’s not my fault.”
That’s the time to pause and take a breath.
Hard work is an ongoing commitment that leads to excellence.
Intelligence is making yourself useful to others.
Character has value in its own right.
Wait patiently, don’t rush it.
Life is no different from fishing, you could say.

With patience, a good catch awaits.

努力は継続することで非凡となる
賢さは他人のために使ってこそ役に立つ
人格者はその存在自体に価値がある
急がない、焦らない、短気にならない
人生は釣りと同じではないか
