“Powers of Concentration”
The mandala is a tool for those who seek enlightenment,
Connecting this world to the world of Buddha.
Or, perhaps it is a piece of art to improve one’s
Powers of concentration.
At the center is Buddha’s originating light,
Surrounded by Buddhist saints and true believers.
A focus on the goal of spiritual training, of soul growth.
An altruistic world devoid of vanity.
The power to focus takes many forms.
When a believer offers a prayer to God.
When a craftsman deploys masterful skill.
When an artist expands our imagination.
When a musician moves an audience.
When an athlete sets an amazing record.
Selflessness is the common thread in all these forms.
Striving for the utmost in expressing one’s inner spirit,
It is a selfless state with a goal of creation, not vanity.
In those moments, the physical self has been thrown aside.

曼荼羅は悟りを求める者のツール
仏の世界とこの世を繋ぐアイテム
あるいは集中力を高めるためのアートだ
中心は仏の本源的な光
周辺は仏に帰依する如来や菩薩
魂修行の目標世界観
自我のない利他の世界
神仏への祈りを捧げる宗教家の集中力
自然現象を観察・研究する科学者の集中力
体得した技を常に再現する職人の集中力
想像力を膨らませ表現する芸術家の集中力
多くの人に感動を与える音楽家の集中力
驚異的な記録を生むアスリートの集中力
集中力の共通点は無我であること
表現者として極めようとする集中力
存在が目的化する自我なき無我の境地
その時、すでに肉体は脱ぎ捨てられている
