437 The End of Childhood

“The End of Childhood”

Stars twinkling in the night sky,
The light from that one there, how old could it be?
A thousand years? Ten thousand? A million?
Even a hundred million years?

The challenge of exploring space has only just begun.
So far, we are no more than dipping our toes,
Frolicking at the water’s edge.
A boundless ocean before us,
But having no way to propel ourselves,
Into its extraordinary vastness.

Space waits for humankind to make that leap.
Awaiting us are civilizations and lifeforms,
Far more advanced and magnificent than we imagine.

How pitiful our existence on this tiny planet that, even now,
Humankind fights again and again.
Wars over land, race, and nationality.
Our spiritual civilization remains childlike.
As the Earth nears the end of its childhood,
It is time to prepare emotionally and spiritually.
The new civilization of space has already begun.
