“Springtime of Life”
Life is interesting.
There are many paths to spiritual enlightenment,
But there are times, too, when “winter” sets in, when we rue the deities.
Yet there isn’t a single god who wishes any one of us unhappiness.
The seed of unhappiness is planted by our own hand—
We reap what we sow.
If we blame our unhappiness on circumstances or others around us,
There can be no end to this desolation, to this wintertime.
Admitting our mistakes humbly and honestly,
Utmost is an awareness of our personal responsibility.
Thinking is a kind of everyday habit.
If there is a mistake in our thoughts, admit it—
Though that, we can take the right path.
Life isn’t something to throw away.
To the one who patiently endures the hardships of life’s wintertime
Will surely come the rewards of springtime.
「人生の春」
人生は面白い
魂を鍛えるためにさまざまな工夫がある
時には神仏を恨みたくなるような人生の冬もある
しかし、あなたの不幸を願うような神仏はいない
不幸の種は己が蒔いたはず
蒔いた種は刈り取らねばならない
それを他者や環境のせいにしている限り
人生の冬に終わりはないだろう
謙虚に素直に己の間違いを認める
自己責任の自覚が大事なのだ
人の思考は一種の生活習慣
己の思考に間違いがあれば、それを認める
認めることで正しい道が開ける
人生捨てたものではない
艱難辛苦の冬を耐え忍んだ者には
必ずや人生の春はやって来る
