“Cool Passion”
Intense feelings well up,
Just like falling in love.
There is no reason for it.
When we are absorbed in something and feel passionate,
The feeling drives us, and we lose our sense of judgment,
Acting in self-interest,
Carelessly hurting or disrespecting others.
Passion is necessary to achieve our goals
But if blind, it could lead us astray
Or drive us to the brink of madness.
By the time we notice, important things have been lost.
To walk a long path without error,
Strategic planning will be needed.
Think about your goal and take action
Without succumbing to passion.
Sometimes too much passion
Can distort our relationships,
And excuses only make it worse.
We must treat our feelings with care
Because they have an effect on others.
We need to scrutinize our own hearts:
Is our passion lasting or momentary?
Will everyone rejoice if it is realized?
Cool passion makes our dreams come true.
「冷静なる情熱」
湧き上がる激しい思い
それは恋愛感情にも似ている
人を好きになるのに理屈はない
何かに没頭し思いが湧き上がった時
人は情熱に押され冷静な判断ができない
他者を平気で傷つけたり軽視したり
自己中心になりがちだ
何かを成すのに情熱は必要だが
盲目的な情熱は道を違え
思ってもいない状況へと己を追い込む
気が付けば大切なものを失っている
道を違えず永く遠くまで進むには
戦略的思考が必要となる
目的から物事を考え行動する
感情に振り回されない思考だ
時として過ぎたる情熱は
他者との相対的関係に歪みを生じさせ
自己正当化が悪を生み出す
情熱は他者の心に影響を与える
故に扱いは慎重にしたいものだ
自らの思いをよく分析することだ
その情熱は本物か一時的なものか
思いが実現したら皆が祝福するのか
冷静なる情熱が夢を現実化する
