“Goddess of War”

Winners and losers, victory and defeat.
Though we vie for position in this world,
The line between winning and losing in the next world is even clearer:
Those who make it to heaven are the winners,
Those condemned to hell are the losers.

There are some who rule their own hearts,
Aspiring for more, living their lives for the world and its people.
And there are those care not about others,
Instead giving free rein to their emotions in self-centered lives.
Some people believe in and respect god,
Treating others openly and compassionately,
While reserving severity for themselves.
Others boast that god is a figment of our imagination,
Hopelessly believing that death is the end.

Life is a series of choices.
With each choice comes personal responsibility.
Is this choice on my road to heaven?
Or to hell?
No one knows until we reach the road’s end.

Life is a war.
The enemy is not outside—it is within ourselves.
The soul can suffer from the darkness of many evils:
Fear, laziness, arrogance, ungratefulness.
We must conquer them all in our hearts.
Victory in life means a heart filled with light.
