404 A Day is a Lifetime

“A Day is a Lifetime”

A day is 24 hours.
It is a time given to us,
Equally and fairly.

From the time we wake up to the time we go to bed,
We work for about 8 hours and sleep for about 8 hours.
It is how we use those remaining 8 hours,
That determines the value of a day.

Some use it to satisfy their desires.
Some use it to please their families.
Some use it to help others.
Some use it to help society.
Some use it to help their gods.

We all use our time in different ways,
But we should aim to live in a way that increases the value of our time.
That is to know what true value is.
True value is found in altruism.

These are things we can do with just a little bit of willpower.

Give up your seat on the train or bus.
Use positive words at work.
Speak kind words to those in need.
Volunteer your time.

Think of a day as a lifetime.
Live with a heart that is useful to the world.
If you do this, your day will be gilt in gold.
