“Enrich Your Heart”

We can no longer gather together
Nor work the way we used to
Who could have imagined such a world?

Many people fear the coronavirus
Hearts quail at the tense and uncertain future
It contradicts our common sense
The world has truly changed

But if we turn our eyes to the splendor of Mother Nature
We see that nothing has changed,
Save for our own society

Flowers blossom, green buds burst forth
And the seasons still turn
Entrust your mind and body to nature’s rhythm
And feel the joy of its pulsing energy

The lesson nature holds for our weary hearts
Is that since the beginning
Humanity and viruses have coexisted
They serve a purpose in the natural order
Perhaps their role is to deliver a warning:
Viruses are part of nature too

Imagine yourself as part of nature
We may believe that we have no need for her
But as we realize that all life has its place
Our hearts are enriched by gratitude

We are supported by all of creation
