“Without Water”

Have you ever seen the source of a river?
A single drop of water oozes from a rock.
Every great river begins like this.

All rivers flow to the ocean,
They carry nutrients the ocean needs.
Nutrients that feed the plankton,
Plankton, which in turn, feed the fish.

Water in the ocean evaporates.
In the sky it forms rain clouds.
Rain falls and becomes a single drop at the source again.

All things are in a cycle and flow.
They change their shape and nature to fulfill their mission.

Earth’s abundant life is supported by water,
Creating a variety of ecosystems.
Water is the root of life.

We can live for two to three weeks without food,
But without water, we will die in three to four days.
That’s how dependent we are on water to survive.

Earth’s surface is 75% covered with water,
But 97.5% is seawater and only 2.5% is freshwater.
Furthermore, 75% of that freshwater is in the form of Antarctic ice,
And the rest is groundwater.
This means, only 0.01% of the water on Earth is usable by humans!

When we learn this fact,
We should feel grateful
For the water we take for granted.
Without water, life would not exist.
